In 1970’s, the World Bank assessed all internationally available tube-well pipes and screens to determine the most economical material of construction that would meet the requirements of strength, rigidity and resistance to impact, abrasion, saline waters, chemical cleaning fluids and explosives. In their report to World Bank, the Government of Pakistan and WAPDAtthe consultants) concluded that fiberglass reinforced Epoxy pipes and screens completely meet the requirements most economically.
